Every year at UWM, within the Metalsmithing and Jewelry dept. our student organization, Object, hosts an annual jewelry sale to help fund and bring in artists to the students.
This year we focused on the idea of exchange in which we created some basic shapes for students to exchange with other students and create new jewelry based on those designs. We had a lot of fun experimenting with new techniques, including die forms, powder coating, anodizing and silver plating. We also got to spread our wings a bit and bring our own style into the jewelry we were making.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces that I got to make.
